We pride ourselves in the knowledge that we make health & safety a priority across all levels of our business. We believe that we have not only a legal but also a moral and social responsibility to ensure the safety and welfare of our employees and those we impact upon on a daily basis. Our activities are planned and executed to ensure the health & safety of our employees, supply chains, general public and the end user are adequately controlled at all times.

Our dedicated SHEQ department manage our Grade “A” status Safe-T-Cert accredited health & safety system. Regular health & safety audits and inspections are carried out to monitor our health & safety performance throughout our business and to identify any improvement action required. This assures our customers that we deliver all of our services to the highest standard.

We invest in our employees’ health & safety by providing appropriate training so they can undertake their activities safely and competently. We are committed to ensuring that all our employees are accredited to the appropriate CSR/CSCS/CPCS card level. We host regular health & safety meetings, maintain regular communication with our employees and hold weekly on-site toolbox talks. These arrangements are supplemented with continual improvement programmes and incentives to help encourage employees to maintain daily safety efforts and standards.

MSM are members of BuildHealth NI, which is a joint initiative between HSENI and the construction industry in Northern Ireland. The aims of BuildHealth NI include raising awareness of health issues in construction and improving the health of construction workers through knowledge sharing and implementation of best practice. Our SHEQ Manager represents our company on the BuildHealth Steering Committee.
