This major new retail development located just off the main Armagh to Portadown road has enabled the Fruitfield Service Station to move from their existing premises into a newbuild retail unit on a site next to their existing premises. This project was phased to ensure the existing service station remained operational throughout the 10 month timescale.
The 32,000ft2 Eurospar retail unit is single-storey above ground level with a basement. The internal floorspace includes a main food hall with approximately 7,700ft2 retail space, “The Scullery” restaurant, in-store bakery, butchery, hot food counter, an off-sales, stores, welfare facilities and offices
Other works on this project included:
• Texaco filling station forecourt with 4nr pumps
• Forming access roads and a 128-space car park
• Lorry park area
• A standalone car valet building and a covered fuel store
• ATM building with 2nr cash machines
• Construction of retaining walls
