MSM are delighted to have been awarded the £2m contract to construct the new Hamilton Road Community Centre in Bangor for North Down Borough Council. On-site works commenced on 16th February 2015 and are programmed to be completed within 15 months.

The project, designed by Whittaker & Watt Architects, has a gross internal floor area of 1,430m2 and comprises a basement level and 3nr storeys above ground level. The existing Borough Gymnasium building will be demolished to make way for the new building.

Once constructed the building will provide the following facilities:

– Basement: an indoor projectile range (25m long) with separate access.

– Ground floor: an entrance hall to a double-height multi-functional hall and access to an Advice Service Facility with reception area, office areas, interview rooms and staff accommodation.

– First floor: 3nr multi-functional rooms, 1nr meeting room, circulation space, stores and welfare accommodation.

– Second floor: 1nr multi-functional hall, kitchen, stores and welfare accommodation.

MSM has successfully completed the construction of the new Fruitfield retail development in Richhill, Co Armagh. Located just off the main Armagh to Portadown road, this major project has involved the construction of a new retail supermarket under the Eurospar brand, a filling station forecourt with 4nr pumps and a 128-space car park.

MSM started on-site in April 2014 and completed the project within a 10 month timeframe.

The 3,000m2 retail unit provides a main food hall with approximately 720m2 retail space, “The Scullery” restaurant, in-store bakery, butchery, hot food counter, an off-sales, stores, welfare accommodation and offices. Two retail units were constructed at basement level to a shell finish for future fit-out by the prospective tenants. A car valet building and covered fuel store have been constructed adjacent to the retail unit and a standalone ATM building with 2nr cash machines is constructed in the car park.
